NEW DELHI: In a rare move, the Railway Board on Wednesday imposed a penalty on its own PSU – Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) – following a poor food quality complaint raised by a Patna-Tatanagar Vande Bharat passenger last week. While IRCTC was fined Rs 10 lakh, another Rs 50 lakh was imposed on the catering contractor.The Board also directed IRCTC to terminate its contract with Krishna Enterprises.
