Bagaha is a General category assembly seat situated in Paschim Champaran district and forms one of the six assembly segments under the Valmiki Nagar parliamentary constituency. The constituency has been a BJP stronghold in recent years, although contests have remained competitive, particularly with strong INC and JD(U) showings.
