Priyanka Chopra’s cousin Meerra Chopraa slams CJP supporter for using abusive language for PM Narendra Modi: ‘Is this the youth of today ya NEET ke student?’

Amid the ongoing protests against the NEET paper leak, while several celebrities have come out in the favour of CJP, now actor Meerra Chopraa, who is Priyanka Chopra’s cousin has voiced her displeasure after a CJP protester was allegedly heard using abusive language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a demonstration. On Thursday, Priyanka Chopra’s cousin took to X (formerly Twitter) to reshare a video that appeared to show a woman making the remarks over a microphone. The original post claimed that the woman seen in the clip was a NEET rank holder.Reacting to the video, Meerra questioned the conduct of the protester and wrote, “Is this the youth of today? Ya neet ki student? Plz batao kaun sa youth hai ye???”Earlier, Meerra had publicly backed the students participating in the ongoing protests, urging the authorities to pay attention to their concerns. Describing them as the country’s future, she stressed that their voices deserved to be heard. At the same time, she warned against political parties exploiting the movement for their own interests, saying that students should not become tools in political battles.

“Listen to the students. They are not just protesters — they are the future of this country. Their genuine concerns must be heard, understood, and addressed. But we must also recognize those trying to use their shoulders to fire their political guns. Whether it is #CJP or #AAP, no political party should be allowed to hijack the students’ struggle for its own agenda. A child’s future is not a political weapon. Let the students be heard—but don’t let politicians or wannabe politicians use them,” she had written.The ongoing CJP protests have also drawn reactions from several members of the film industry. Celebrities including Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Naseeruddin Shah, Sonakshi Sinha and Diljit Dosanjh, among others, have extended support to the students and appealed for their concerns to be addressed through peaceful dialogue.The demonstrations at Jantar Mantar began earlier this month, with students raising concerns over alleged irregularities in competitive examinations, including the NEET paper leak controversy. Protesters have been demanding reforms in the education system as well as the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
