Monsoon Session 2026 to begin on July 20, Parliament to sit until August 13

Both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha will sit during the nearly four-week session, during which the government is expected to take up key legislative business and other matters of public interest.

NEW DELHI: The Monsoon Session of Parliament will begin on July 20 and continue until August 13, after Droupadi Murmu approved the government’s recommendation to convene both Houses, Parliamentary Affairs minister Kiren Rijiju said on Saturday.“On the recommendation of the Govt of India, Hon’ble President, Smt. Droupadi Murmu ji has approved the summoning of both the Houses of Parliament for the Monsoon Session 2026,” he wrote in a post on X.
