What did ETimes say about ‘Irumudi’?

‘Irumudi’ stars Ravi Teja as Trinadha. Baby Nakshathra plays his daughter Manikanta. Sai Kumar portrays Gopal Raju. The movie is directed by Shiva Nirvana. The story focuses on fatherhood, faith and the bond between parents and daughters. The narrative presents two contrasting approaches to parenting.According to ETimes, “Irumudi is, at its heart, less about faith than fatherhood. Trinadha (Ravi Teja), a devout Ayyappa devotee struggling with alcoholism, finds his purpose in his daughter Manikanta (Baby Nakshathra), while Gopal Raju (Sai Kumar) raises his daughter Gayathri with a very different philosophy—to survive by staying silent. Shiva Nirvana juxtaposes these contrasting parenting approaches with remarkable restraint, allowing their emotional consequences to speak louder than words. While the first half feels crowded with too many antagonistic characters, making the narrative occasionally uneven, the second half brings these threads together with conviction. The result is a moving social drama that leaves you reflecting on how we raise—and, more importantly, how we listen to—our daughters.”DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers and the data in this article are compiled from public and industry sources.
