Dharmendra Pradhan spoke to parents of a seriously injured NEET-UG aspirant from Kolkata Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday spoke to parents of a seriously injured NEET-UG aspirant from Kolkata, who was able to appear for the re-exam following govt intervention and special medical arrangements at the centre.Shrishti Dubey, who was injured in a road accident on June 14 and is recovering from major surgery, wrote the examination in a separate room at with medical support and a standby ambulance stationed at the centre.Pradhan spoke to Shrishti’s father during the examination to enquire about her condition and wished her success. Thanking the minister, her father said, “It is all because of you that my daughter is giving the exam.”Her mother said the family had almost lost hope of her appearing for the examination before doctors advised them to seek special permission from authorities. “We had given up hope that she would ever be able to give the exam. The doctors encouraged us to submit a special application seeking permission for her to appear in the exam in hospital attire and with medical attachments,” she said.Pradhan, in response Pradhan wished the family well and shared his belief that Shrishti would perform well and make her parents proud by becoming a doctor. “I will try and meet you when I come to Kolkata,” Pradhan told her Dubey over the phone.Get the latest India news and live updates.
