Woman stabs husband, tries to stuff his intestines into bag, jumps off roof when landlord walks in
KURUKSHETRA: A 40-year-old man was allegedly killed by his wife in a knife attack at their house near Raj Palace on Pehowa Road on Saturday. The woman later jumped from the rooftop and sustained injuries, police said.The deceased, identified as Rajesh, was a native of Dhampur village in Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur district. He had been living in Kurukshetra with his wife, Vimla Devi, for around a year and worked as a water supplier for a water trading company on Pehowa Road.According to landlord Rinku, he heard the couple arguing at around 5pm and went upstairs to check. He allegedly found Rajesh lying in a pool of blood with severe injuries to his abdomen. Rinku told police that Vimla was attempting to put his protruding intestines into a bag when she noticed him and jumped from the roof.Police recovered three knives of different sizes from the house and collected forensic evidence from the scene.The extent of Rajesh’s injuries emerged during the postmortem examination. His abdomen had reportedly been cut open by around 35 cm, with deep injuries to internal organs and his intestines protruding from the body. The examination also reportedly found that a substantial portion of his liver and his right kidney were missing.Vimla was taken into custody and is undergoing treatment for injuries sustained in the fall. Police are investigating the circumstances and motive behind the alleged murder.
