UP Board Class 10, 12 compartment, improvement exam 2026 to be held on July 28: Check important guidelines
The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has released the schedule for the Class 10 High School Improvement/Compartment Examination and the Class 12 Intermediate Compartment Examination 2026. The examinations will be held on July 28, 2026 (Tuesday) for candidates who have successfully submitted their online applications.According to the official announcement, both examinations will be conducted at centres allotted by the District School Inspector at the district headquarters.

The examination timings are as follows:
- Class 10 High School Improvement/Compartment Examination: July 28, 2026, from 8:30 am to 11:45 am
- Class 12 Intermediate Compartment Examination: July 28, 2026, from 2 pm to 5:15 pm
Candidates are advised to report to their allotted examination centre 45 minutes before the start of the examination to ensure smooth entry into the examination hall.
Admit cards
The board has directed the concerned school principals to download the admit cards of registered candidates from the official website, upmsp.edu.in. After countersigning the admit cards, principals will distribute them to the respective candidates.
Important instructions for candidates
UPMSP has issued several guidelines that candidates must follow on the examination day:
- Candidates must reach the examination centre at least 45 minutes before the examination begins.
- Carrying mobile phones, smartwatches or any other electronic devices inside the examination hall is strictly prohibited.
- Only candidates, the Centre Superintendent, teachers and authorised educational staff will be allowed inside the examination centre.
Guidelines for examination centres
The board has also issued instructions to ensure the smooth conduct of the examinations.
- The Centre Superintendent must ensure that unnecessary crowds do not gather at the entrance before or after the examination.
- Voice recorder-enabled CCTV cameras and internet routers must remain operational throughout the examination in all examination rooms.
- Question paper packets will be opened using the same procedure followed during the main board examinations. The packets will be opened inside the strong room under 24×7 CCTV surveillance with voice recording in the presence of the Centre Superintendent, External Centre Superintendent and the Sector Magistrate.
Candidates are advised to carefully follow all the instructions issued by the board and carry their admit cards to the examination centre on the exam day.
