It has already been a year since Namit Malhotra dropped the grand announcement for the ambitious Nitesh Tiwari-directed epic, ‘Ramayana’ and fans are already taking to social media to celebrate.Amid buzz about a new trailer launch set for a release this month, netizens took to their handles to share their appreciation and excitement about the upcoming film starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi in lead roles.

‘Ramayana’ trailer to drop in July?
The makers of ‘Ramayana’ are reportedly planning an international rollout for the film’s elaborate promotional campaign, with multiple reports suggesting that the first official trailer will be unveiled at a grand event in Los Angeles on July 14.The launch event will reportedly serve as the first major showcase for the mythological epic and is expected to be attended by lead stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash, along with other members of the cast and crew. The trailer is reportedly scheduled to debut almost three months before the film hits the big screens on Diwali.If the buzz is true then the trailer will arrive after the makers dropped the ‘Rama First Glimpse’ early this year. It was previously reported that the makers intended to launch such ‘First Glimpse’ clips to introduce the global audience to the characters of the epic arriving for the Diwali festive season.
‘Ramayana’ at Comic Con?
While the team has not officially confirmed the event, the reports come amid growing speculation that ‘Ramayana’ could also debut footage at the 2026 San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), scheduled to be held this month. According to an earlier report by Mid-day, producer Malhotra and director Tiwari have been in advanced discussions to premiere the first full trailer of ‘Ramayana: Part 1’ during the festival, which has also been the stage for international titles like the ‘Avengers’, ‘Spider-Man’, ‘Lord of the Rings’ and more. This year SDCC is scheduled to take place from July 23 to July 26, with a Preview Night on July 22.Meanwhile, Malhotra has been hosting special screenings of exclusive film footage for content creators in India over the past few weeks. This footage reportedly gave them glimpses of Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman.The two-part epic is being mounted on a massive scale and is slated for a worldwide theatrical release beginning with ‘Ramayana: Part 1’ on Diwali 2026 and ‘Ramayana: Part 2’ on Diwali 2027.
