Polling has concluded and the fate of the candidates is now sealed in the electronic voting machines. The constituency recorded 68.54 per cent turnout, according to election officials. Raghopur, known for its diverse voter base and its high political stakes in Bihar, has a history of close contests that influence the broader state narrative.A poll of polls released on Tuesday suggested that the NDA is likely to return to power with around 148 seats. The RJD-led Mahagathbandhan, despite campaigning on a platform of change, is projected to finish with around 88 seats, while other parties may secure about 7 seats.People’s Pulse estimated 133–159 seats for the NDA, 75–101 for the Mahagathbandhan, 0–5 for Jan Suraaj, and 2–8 for others. The Dainik Bhaskar poll projected 145–160 seats for the NDA and 73–91 for the Mahagathbandhan. Tejashwi Prasad Yadav of the RJD won with 97,404 votes, while BJP’s Satish Kumar came second with 59,230 votes, losing by 38,174.In 2015, Raghopur had 3,17,517 electors and 1,85,628 valid votes. Tejashwi Prasad Yadav retained the seat with 91,236 votes. Satish Kumar of the BJP finished second with 68,503 votes, trailing by 22,733.In 2010, the constituency had 2,62,824 electors and 1,33,641 valid votes. Satish Kumar of the JD(U) won with 64,222 votes, defeating RJD’s Rabri Devi, who secured 51,216 votes and lost by 13,006.In the October 2005 election, JD(U)’s Bablu won with 45,079 votes.
