Psychology says people who eat very fast tend to have these personality traits
Perhaps the most important thing psychologists emphasise is that eating speed is just one small behaviour. It is influenced by childhood habits, family routines, work schedules, culture, stress levels and even the type of food on the plate. Someone may eat quickly because they have young children to care for, a short lunch break or years of habit, not because they possess a particular personality.
In other words, eating fast shouldn’t be viewed as a personality test. It may reflect certain behavioural tendencies, but it cannot tell the whole story about who someone is. If anything, experts suggest using eating speed as an opportunity to become more aware of daily habits. Slowing down occasionally isn’t about changing your personality. It’s about giving your mind and body enough time to enjoy one of the simplest parts of the day.
