According to the India Today report, speaking at Cannes Lions, Priyanka Chopra challenged the deeply ingrained attitude that cooking, cleaning, and managing daily household responsibilities are a woman’s domain. Priyanka was direct and unapologetic in her stance. “Cleaning and cooking aren’t women’s work. They’re basic adulting. Don’t confuse gender with laziness,” she said.The comment struck a chord online, resonating with audiences who have long debated the unequal distribution of domestic labour in households across the world. What a wonderful time to be an entertainer, to be in the entertainment business.” She cited the success of Hollywood supernatural horror Obsession as a prime example of what is now possible for storytellers.
