The makers of Prithviraj Sukumaran’s upcoming action thriller ‘Khalifa’ have officially introduced Malavika Sharma as the film’s leading lady.Directed by Vyshak and written by Jinu Abraham, ‘Khalifa’ is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on August 20. Along with unveiling the heroine, the team also confirmed that the film’s first lyrical video will be released soon.

Who is Malavika Sharma?
As reported by Reporter website, Malavika Sharma is also a qualified lawyer. She began her acting career with the 2018 Telugu film ‘Nela Ticket’, which starred Ravi Teja in the lead role. She later appeared in the Tamil film ‘Coffee with Kadhal’. Her most recent release was the 2024 Telugu action drama ‘Harom Hara’ and with ‘Khalifa’, Malavika is set to make her debut in Malayalam cinema.
A two-part action saga featuring Prithviraj and Mohanlal
‘Khalifa’ is planned as a two-part franchise. Prithviraj Sukumaran plays Mamparakkal Aamir Ali, the central character in the first installment. Veteran actor Mohanlal will appear as Mamparakkal Ahmed Ali in the first film.
An action thriller filmed across multiple countries
Just like how we expect from a Vysakh film, ‘Khalifa’ promises elaborate action sequences and high-speed chase scenes. The filming took place across London, Dubai, Kerala, and Nepal.The film carries the tagline, “Revenge will be written in golden letters.”‘Khalifa’ also marks the reunion of Vyshak and Prithviraj Sukumaran after Pokkiri Raja. In addition, it brings together Jinu Abraham and Prithviraj once again following their collaborations on ‘Adam Joan’, ‘London Bridge’, ‘Masters’, and the actioner ‘Kaduva’.
