PM Modi watches Indian contingents march at Seychelles’ 50th independence (X) SEYCHELLES: Prime Minister Narendra Modi stood up in a mark of respect as the Indian Army and Navy contingents marched during Seychelles’ 50th Independence Day celebrations, highlighting India’s close ties with the island nation during his three-day official visit.The Prime Minister arrived in Seychelles on Saturday to begin his three-day diplomatic itinerary.The Indian contingent, comprising personnel from the Assam Regiment of the Indian Army and sailors from the Indian Navy, participated in the grand Golden Jubilee parade held in the capital.One of the standout moments of the parade was the Army contingent performing its iconic regimental song, ‘Badlu Ram Ka Badan’, while marching.
