PM Modi during the walkthrough of Samrat Samprati Museum  NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday inaugurated the Samrat Samprati Museum at Koba Tirth in the Mahavir Jain Aradhana Kendra campus in Gujarat’s Gandhinagar on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti. Named after Samrat Samprati, the grandson of Emperor Ashoka, the museum presents the historical, cultural and spiritual legacy of Jainism.Referring to the current global situation, PM Modi said the museum’s legacy and message were important not only for India but for the entire world. He said people later protected what remained by passing them down through generations.The prime minister also inaugurated a Rs 3,300 crore semiconductor plant by Kaynes Technology at Sanand GIDC in Ahmedabad.The facility is the second such plant in the country and is being seen as an important step in India’s semiconductor sector. It is part of the government’s semiconductor mission and is expected to support its expansion.The development follows earlier steps in the sector. PM Modi during the walkthrough of Samrat Samprati Museum NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday inaugurated the Samrat Samprati Museum at Koba Tirth in the Mahavir Jain Aradhana Kendra campus in Gujarat’s Gandhinagar on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti. Named after Samrat Samprati, the grandson of Emperor Ashoka, the museum presents the historical, cultural and spiritual legacy of Jainism.Referring to the current global situation, PM Modi said the museum’s legacy and message were important not only for India but for the entire world. Watch From Design To Silicon, India Signals Semiconductor Breakout With Semicon 2.0 Roadmap “We are correcting the mistakes of previous governments, which failed to preserve valuable manuscripts,” he said after inaugurating the museum.”Given the current global scenario – the way the world is being scorched in the fires of instability and unrest – the legacy and message of this museum hold immense significance,” he added.The prime minister further said that the museum reflected India’s diversity, bringing together traditions like the Vedas, Puranas, Ayurveda and Yoga. “This is something that could happen only in India,” he said, pointing to the seven galleries that showcase cultural and spiritual heritage.Speaking about preservation of knowledge, PM Modi said India lost a large part of its heritage when centres like Takshashila and Nalanda were destroyed and manuscripts were burnt. He said people later protected what remained by passing them down through generations.The prime minister also inaugurated a Rs 3,300 crore semiconductor plant by Kaynes Technology at Sanand GIDC in Ahmedabad.The facility is the second such plant in the country and is being seen as an important step in India’s semiconductor sector. It is part of the government’s semiconductor mission and is expected to support its expansion.The development follows earlier steps in the sector.
