NEW DELHI: Hindustan Aeronautics Limited chairman DK Sunil on Thursday said American firm General Electric has assured the delivery of 20 F404 engines by Dec and that HAL expects to receive a sixth GE engine for the LCA Tejas Mark 1A project by April-end.It is learnt that HAL is “imposing contractual penalties on GE” for delays in the supply of engines for the LCA Tejas jet and the penalties are being imposed on GE Aerospace as per the contract for 99 engines. In Feb 2021, the defence ministry had sealed a Rs 48,000-crore deal with HAL for the procurement of 83 Tejas Mk-1A for IAF.The ministry in Sept last year sealed another deal worth Rs 62,370 crore with HAL to procure 97 Tejas MK-1A light combat aircraft for IAF.On whether India is interested in buying Russia’s fifth-generation stealth fighter jet Su-57, the HAL chairman told the media, “I think presentations have been made regarding the Su-57 to the Air Force team by the Russian team regarding the capabilities of the aircraft. We are awaiting the Russian quotation about the investment. Then we will approach the Air Force that these are the kind of numbers required to produce these aircraft and these are the timelines.”K Sunil said the entire fleet of 34 Tejas will fly most likely from April 8 as the glitch found on board the aircraft’s software has been resolved. “All the Tejas jets are set to fly again from next Wednesday,” he said. The fleet was grounded in the first week of Feb after a Tejas jet sustained damage to its airframe after it overshot the runway at the airbase following a suspected brake failure.IAF is looking at inducting the Tejas fighter jets as the number of its fighter squadrons have gone down to 29 from officially sanctioned strength of 42.End of ArticleFollow Us On Social MediaVideos’Will Use India, Throw Under The Bus’: Ex-Pentagon Analyst Reveals US Policy Towards DelhiBangladesh PM Tarique Rahman To Visit India Soon As Delhi-Dhaka Reset Ties: ReportCongress Leader Anand Sharma Praises Modi Govt’s West Asia Diplomacy, Urges National Unity Amid WarIndian Navy Boosts Nuclear Deterrence With INS Aridhaman Submarine, Enforces Undersea Strike PowerWhy Did India-Bound Oil Tanker Carrying Iranian Crude Change Course At The Last Minute?India’s Medium Transport Aircraft Programme Gains Momentum, HAL Joins Global Firms In RaceBrahMos-Armed INS Taragiri Marks Major Leap In India’s Naval Strength And Self-RelianceWest Asia Crisis: India’s Balanced Approach Wins Global Trust As Pakistan’s Mediator Gamble Stumbles‘Ghar Wapsi Will Happen Soon’: Imam Ilyasi Predicts PoK ReunificationRajnath Singh’s ‘Decisive Action’ Warning Evokes Pakistan’s ‘Swift Response’: What Khawaja Asif Said123PhotostoriesPM Narendra Modi highlights ‘Modi Tea Stall’ in Puducherry: How chai holds India’s heartDipika Kakar gets emotional after cyst removal surgery, says “joh ye reoccurrence hua hai uske baad main thoda sa ghabra gayi hoon”7 saree styling hacks to look taller and slimmer instantlyRamayana actor Ravie Dubey’s wealth decoded: From luxury cars to a Rs 8 crore Mumbai penthouse, exploring his reported Rs 80 crore net worthHow to prepare your car for extreme off-road conditionsYour feet might look normal, but there are hidden signs which indicate severe damage and disease: How to recognise them7 key residential areas in Jaipur shaping the city’s real estate market11 royal meal experiences at the Maharajas’ Express that are not to be missedPrabhu Deva birthday special: ‘Muqabala’, ‘Urvasi’, ‘Kay Sera Sera’- Iconic songs choreographed by the dance maestroVikrant Massey birthday special: ‘12th Fail’, ‘Sector 36’ to ‘Haseen Dilruba’, a look at his most defining performances123Hot PicksTravis KelceOliver rowlandKick StreamerTiger WoodsCSK vs PBKS PreviewPublic holidays April 2026Bank Holidays AprilTop TrendingOil Price TodayGood Friday 2026India Labour CodeRandy GeorgeLuigi MangioneGucci ManeRaghav ChaddaHailee SteinfeldSchool Holidays in AprilIran war news

NEW DELHI: A day after AAP removed him as deputy leader of the party in the Rajya Sabha, Raghav Chadha declared that he would not be cowed by attempts to silence him, drawing a fierce backlash from his colleagues.Senior AAP members accused Chadha of being scared of PM Narendra Modi and not raising issues tied to the party’s stand. They mentioned his failure to sign the notice seeking the removal of CEC Gyanesh Kumar, and defying the party line on walkouts over issues in the House. Chadha was accused by Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann, leader of the party in the Rajya Sabha Sanjay Singh, and leader of the opposition in Delhi, and Atishi of engaging in “soft PR” in Parliament. Asked by a journalist if he believed Chadha was compromised, Mann replied, “Yes”. Mann questions Raghav’s focus: ‘Samosas over serious issues?’Mann criticised Raghav Chadha for raising issues such as the price of samosas at airports while ignoring core issues prioritised by AAP, and accused him of deviating from the party line.Mann said, “If the party gives a line to raise specific issues, such as valid votes being deleted (in West Bengal), 160 AAP leaders and volunteers being booked in Gujarat, or Punjab’s issues, like attempts to polarise communities, MSP, Centre holding back GST funds or rural development fund but someone raises issues of samosas at airports or pizza delivery time, won’t it raise doubts that he is talking from a different station?” ‘Jo Dar Gaya Samjho Mar Gaya’ jibe (those who live in fear are as good as dead), AAP leaders taunted their estranged colleague. The slugfest started after Chadha, an RS MP from Punjab since 2022, put out a video message on X. “To those who have snatched my right to speak in Parliament, I would like to say don’t take my silence for defeat. I am that river which can turn into a devastating deluge when the time comes,” he warned. The Rajya Sabha MP asked if speaking about the common man’s problems in Parliament was a crime. “Today, I ask this as AAP has told the Rajya Sabha secretariat that Raghav Chadha should not be given time to speak in Parliament. Now, why would anyone want to stop me from speaking?” he asked and went on to list the diverse issues he has raised, ranging from expensive food at airports, problems faced by food delivery riders, to tax on the middle-class.Sanjay Singh questioned Chadha’s silence on the many issues — from LPG cylinders, to manipulation of votes in West Bengal, rights of Punjab under attack and the atrocities being faced by AAP volunteers in Gujarat. “On all these issues, Raghav Chadha keeps silent. I would like to tell him that we are foot soldiers of Arvind Kejriwal, who has taught us to fearlessly fight against Modi.”Referring to the arrest of Kejriwal in March 2024, former Delhi CM Atishi said that while party leaders were on the streets protesting and facing detention, questions were raised about Chadha’s absence. “We defended you then…But today, even I want to ask that when Kejriwal was arrested, were you scared of the BJP and therefore ran away to London out of fear?” she lashed out.End of ArticleFollow Us On Social MediaVideos’Will Use India, Throw Under The Bus’: Ex-Pentagon Analyst Reveals US Policy Towards DelhiBangladesh PM Tarique Rahman To Visit India Soon As Delhi-Dhaka Reset Ties: ReportCongress Leader Anand Sharma Praises Modi Govt’s West Asia Diplomacy, Urges National Unity Amid WarIndian Navy Boosts Nuclear Deterrence With INS Aridhaman Submarine, Enforces Undersea Strike PowerWhy Did India-Bound Oil Tanker Carrying Iranian Crude Change Course At The Last Minute?India’s Medium Transport Aircraft Programme Gains Momentum, HAL Joins Global Firms In RaceBrahMos-Armed INS Taragiri Marks Major Leap In India’s Naval Strength And Self-RelianceWest Asia Crisis: India’s Balanced Approach Wins Global Trust As Pakistan’s Mediator Gamble Stumbles‘Ghar Wapsi Will Happen Soon’: Imam Ilyasi Predicts PoK ReunificationRajnath Singh’s ‘Decisive Action’ Warning Evokes Pakistan’s ‘Swift Response’: What Khawaja Asif Said123PhotostoriesPM Narendra Modi highlights ‘Modi Tea Stall’ in Puducherry: How chai holds India’s heartDipika Kakar gets emotional after cyst removal surgery, says “joh ye reoccurrence hua hai uske baad main thoda sa ghabra gayi hoon”7 saree styling hacks to look taller and slimmer instantlyRamayana actor Ravie Dubey’s wealth decoded: From luxury cars to a Rs 8 crore Mumbai penthouse, exploring his reported Rs 80 crore net worthHow to prepare your car for extreme off-road conditionsYour feet might look normal, but there are hidden signs which indicate severe damage and disease: How to recognise them7 key residential areas in Jaipur shaping the city’s real estate market11 royal meal experiences at the Maharajas’ Express that are not to be missedPrabhu Deva birthday special: ‘Muqabala’, ‘Urvasi’, ‘Kay Sera Sera’- Iconic songs choreographed by the dance maestroVikrant Massey birthday special: ‘12th Fail’, ‘Sector 36’ to ‘Haseen Dilruba’, a look at his most defining performances123Hot PicksTravis KelceOliver rowlandKick StreamerTiger WoodsCSK vs PBKS PreviewPublic holidays April 2026Bank Holidays AprilTop TrendingOil Price TodayGood Friday 2026India Labour CodeRandy GeorgeLuigi MangioneGucci ManeRaghav ChaddaHailee SteinfeldSchool Holidays in AprilIran war news

After the judgment came to be reserved, it has come to the notice of Hon’ble K V Viswanathan… his lordship had appeared as a counsel for the appellant in the corporate insolvency resolution process… In such circumstances, the order dated March 17 is recalled,” the bench said.End of ArticleFollow Us On Social MediaVideos’Will Use India, Throw Under The Bus’: Ex-Pentagon Analyst Reveals US Policy Towards DelhiBangladesh PM Tarique Rahman To Visit India Soon As Delhi-Dhaka Reset Ties: ReportCongress Leader Anand Sharma Praises Modi Govt’s West Asia Diplomacy, Urges National Unity Amid WarIndian Navy Boosts Nuclear Deterrence With INS Aridhaman Submarine, Enforces Undersea Strike PowerWhy Did India-Bound Oil Tanker Carrying Iranian Crude Change Course At The Last Minute?India’s Medium Transport Aircraft Programme Gains Momentum, HAL Joins Global Firms In RaceBrahMos-Armed INS Taragiri Marks Major Leap In India’s Naval Strength And Self-RelianceWest Asia Crisis: India’s Balanced Approach Wins Global Trust As Pakistan’s Mediator Gamble Stumbles‘Ghar Wapsi Will Happen Soon’: Imam Ilyasi Predicts PoK ReunificationRajnath Singh’s ‘Decisive Action’ Warning Evokes Pakistan’s ‘Swift Response’: What Khawaja Asif Said123PhotostoriesPM Narendra Modi highlights ‘Modi Tea Stall’ in Puducherry: How chai holds India’s heartDipika Kakar gets emotional after cyst removal surgery, says “joh ye reoccurrence hua hai uske baad main thoda sa ghabra gayi hoon”7 saree styling hacks to look taller and slimmer instantlyRamayana actor Ravie Dubey’s wealth decoded: From luxury cars to a Rs 8 crore Mumbai penthouse, exploring his reported Rs 80 crore net worthHow to prepare your car for extreme off-road conditionsYour feet might look normal, but there are hidden signs which indicate severe damage and disease: How to recognise them7 key residential areas in Jaipur shaping the city’s real estate market11 royal meal experiences at the Maharajas’ Express that are not to be missedPrabhu Deva birthday special: ‘Muqabala’, ‘Urvasi’, ‘Kay Sera Sera’- Iconic songs choreographed by the dance maestroVikrant Massey birthday special: ‘12th Fail’, ‘Sector 36’ to ‘Haseen Dilruba’, a look at his most defining performances123Hot PicksTravis KelceOliver rowlandKick StreamerTiger WoodsCSK vs PBKS PreviewPublic holidays April 2026Bank Holidays AprilTop TrendingOil Price TodayGood Friday 2026India Labour CodeRandy GeorgeLuigi MangioneGucci ManeRaghav ChaddaHailee SteinfeldSchool Holidays in AprilIran war news

. NEW DELHI: The Centre is encouraging government departments and prosecutors to withdraw pending cases involving minor offences to help resolve an estimated 5 crore cases currently pending in courts after the passage of the second Jan Vishwas Bill, commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal said on Friday. While the amendments across 79 central laws, including some dating back to the pre-Independence period, will apply prospectively, the government is encouraging authorities to review past cases and seek their closure.“The idea is to give an opportunity for people to reform…we hope that these (cases) can be resolved by prosecutors asking courts to close them under the new provisions so that a big relief can be given to past cases,” Goyal said.He said the amendments empower authorities to impose penalties directly, reducing reliance on lengthy court procedures.“I would encourage anybody who is facing a case under any of these sections to approach the prosecuting office. They will be able to follow the new law and eliminate such cases,” he said. The Jan Vishwas Bill decriminalises around 1,000 provisions, replacing fines with penalties in several cases and introducing a graded enforcement mechanism. The Serious offences that cause harm to the public, society, or public property continue to be treated with the full force of the law, Goyal said.Goyal said 12 states have already introduced their own versions of Jan Vishwas bill.No jail for minor health offencesThe bill removes jail terms for a wide range of minor violations in the healthcare sector and replaces them with penalties. It amends provisions of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, Pharmacy Act, Food Safety and Standards Act, Clinical Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act and National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions Act to remove jail for procedural lapses. For hospitals and clinics, there will be a graded penalty, which will increase for repeated violations. Keeping public health safeguards, the bill seeks to have jail terms for serious offences intact, such as obstructing food safety officials or tampering with seized products.End of ArticleFollow Us On Social MediaVideos’Will Use India, Throw Under The Bus’: Ex-Pentagon Analyst Reveals US Policy Towards DelhiBangladesh PM Tarique Rahman To Visit India Soon As Delhi-Dhaka Reset Ties: ReportCongress Leader Anand Sharma Praises Modi Govt’s West Asia Diplomacy, Urges National Unity Amid WarIndian Navy Boosts Nuclear Deterrence With INS Aridhaman Submarine, Enforces Undersea Strike PowerWhy Did India-Bound Oil Tanker Carrying Iranian Crude Change Course At The Last Minute?India’s Medium Transport Aircraft Programme Gains Momentum, HAL Joins Global Firms In RaceBrahMos-Armed INS Taragiri Marks Major Leap In India’s Naval Strength And Self-RelianceWest Asia Crisis: India’s Balanced Approach Wins Global Trust As Pakistan’s Mediator Gamble Stumbles‘Ghar Wapsi Will Happen Soon’: Imam Ilyasi Predicts PoK ReunificationRajnath Singh’s ‘Decisive Action’ Warning Evokes Pakistan’s ‘Swift Response’: What Khawaja Asif Said123PhotostoriesPM Narendra Modi highlights ‘Modi Tea Stall’ in Puducherry: How chai holds India’s heartDipika Kakar gets emotional after cyst removal surgery, says “joh ye reoccurrence hua hai uske baad main thoda sa ghabra gayi hoon”7 saree styling hacks to look taller and slimmer instantlyRamayana actor Ravie Dubey’s wealth decoded: From luxury cars to a Rs 8 crore Mumbai penthouse, exploring his reported Rs 80 crore net worthNatasha Poonawalla and Adar Poonawalla: The power couple’s filmy love storyHow to prepare your car for extreme off-road conditionsYour feet might look normal, but there are hidden signs which indicate severe damage and disease: How to recognise them7 key residential areas in Jaipur shaping the city’s real estate market11 royal meal experiences at the Maharajas’ Express that are not to be missedPrabhu Deva birthday special: ‘Muqabala’, ‘Urvasi’, ‘Kay Sera Sera’- Iconic songs choreographed by the dance maestro123Hot PicksTravis KelceOliver rowlandKick StreamerTiger WoodsCSK vs PBKS PreviewPublic holidays April 2026Bank Holidays AprilTop TrendingOil Price TodayGood Friday 2026India Labour CodeRandy GeorgeLuigi MangioneGucci ManeRaghav ChaddaHailee SteinfeldSchool Holidays in AprilIran war news
