Mumbai University UG admissions 2026: Application begins tomorrow, check complete schedule here

The University of Mumbai has announced that the registration process for Undergraduate (UG) admissions 2026 will begin from tomorrow, May 6, 2026. Students who meet the eligibility criteria can apply online through the official admission portal. The admissions are being conducted for the academic session 2026–27.

Courses offered

As per the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Mumbai University will offer:

  • 3-year UG programmes
  • 4-year UG honours with research
  • 5-year integrated UG and Postgraduate (PG) courses

Important dates

Students can check the complete schedule below:

  • Application and pre-admission registration: May 6 to May 21 (till 1 pm)
  • Submission of forms at college level: May 6 to May 21
  • First merit list: May 26
  • Document verification and fee payment: May 27 to May 29 (till 3 pm)
  • Second merit list: May 30 (7 pm)
  • Verification and fee payment: June 1 to June 3 (till 3 pm)
  • Third merit list: June 4 (till 7 pm)
  • Final verification and fee payment: June 5 to June 9
  • Classes begin: June 13

Pre-admission process

The university had already conducted the pre-admission registration in two phases. The first phase was completed before the declaration of Class 12 results, while the second phase has now started after the results were announced.

Documents required

Students should keep the following documents ready before applying:

  • Passport-size photograph
  • Signature
  • Class 12 marksheet
  • Category certificate (if applicable)

Reservation policy

Mumbai University has provided reservation as per government rules:

  • Scheduled Caste (SC): 13%
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST): 7%
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC): 19%
  • Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 10%
  • Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC): 10%
  • Other categories like NT and DT also have reserved seats

Special provisions

  • 30% reservation for women
  • 5% reservation for persons with disabilities
  • Special seats for children of freedom fighters and ex-servicemen
  • Quota for sports achievers
  • 15% management quota in affiliated colleges
  • Preference for students with NCC (National Cadet Corps) and NSS (National Service Scheme) achievements

Students are advised to complete their application within the given deadline and carefully check all details before submission to avoid any issues later.
