Mohanlal announces new film with ‘Thudakkam’ director Jude Anthany Joseph; planned for next year
After the success of Vismaya Mohanlal’s acting debut film ‘Thudakkam’, Jude Anthany Joseph will be again teaming up with Mohanlal for an upcoming project. The ‘Drishyam’ actor revealed the collaboration on Sunday through a social media post.

Mohanlal shared a photograph with Jude Anthany Joseph while announcing that their new project is planned for next year.Mohanlal wrote, “Delighted to share that I’ll be joining hands with Jude Anthany Joseph for an exciting new film next year! More details coming your way soon!”The announcement comes while Jude Anthany Joseph is receiving attention for his latest directorial, ‘Thudakkam’. The Malayalam movie was released in theatres on August 7.
‘Thudakkam’ box office update
According to Sacnilk, ‘Thudakkam’ earned Rs 1.44 Cr in India net on its tenth day. The figure represents a 22.2% decline from the Rs 1.85 Cr collected on its second Saturday.The Vismaya Mohanlal-led film collected Rs 1.44 Cr in India net on Day 10 from 860 shows. Its total India net collection has now reached Rs 20.34 Cr.The India gross collection stands at Rs 23.59 Cr. The movie has also recorded a strong contribution from overseas markets, where it has grossed Rs 14.80 Cr. ‘Thudakkam’ has reached a worldwide gross collection of Rs 38.39 Cr after ten days.The movie earned Rs 16.05 Cr during its first week. Its second weekend began with Rs 1 Cr on Friday. The collection then increased to Rs 1.85 Cr on Saturday before settling at Rs 1.44 Cr on Sunday.‘Thudakkam’ also featured Saikumar, Aashish Joe Antony in his debut and also Mohanlal in a special cameo appearance.On the other hand, Mohanlal is also teaming up with Tharun Moorthy for the second time after the success of ‘Thudarum’, and the upcoming project is titled ‘Athimanoharam’.
