‘Majbooriyan hoti hogi sabki’: Sonam Wangchuk finally REACTS to Salman Khan’s viral ‘Sonam, It’s done bro’ line
Ladakh-based activist Sonam Wangchuk ended his hunger strike after 26 days, having undertaken it in solidarity with student protests led by the Cockroach Janta Party over alleged leaks of exam papers. During his fast, Salman Khan had appealed to him to call it off, even offering to arrange home-cooked meals for him. The actor’s social media message, “Sonam, it’s done bro”, quickly went viral online. Wangchuk has now responded to Khan’s widely-shared remark.
Sonam Wangchuk reacts on Prakhar Gupta’s podcast
During an appearance on Prakhar Gupta’s podcast, Sonam was handed a white t-shirt printed with Salman’s picture and the now-viral “Sonam, it’s done bro” line. Prakhar asked him if he’d caught wind of the superstar’s comment, which had also triggered a wave of memes on Instagram. Taking the t-shirt with a smile, Sonam said, “I want to take it as a healthy sentiment. Majbooriyan hoti hogi sabki. Toh main usme nahi jana chahunga. Aage-peeche, daayein-baayein dekhna padta hai. Kuch kaha iska main izzat karta hu baaki majbooriyon se toh main uspe nahi kahunga”.

Amid the student protests, Salman had taken to Instagram to say that the students’ wellbeing was the top priority. He noted that when it came to education and security, students needn’t worry, as their parents were already doing the worrying for them. Referencing PM Narendra Modi’s tweet on the matter, Salman expressed hope that action would be taken against those responsible for the paper leak. Addressing Sonam directly, he wrote, “So students, plz go back to your parents n homes. Sonam, it’s done, bro. Don’t extend this. Keep the spirit for another day if there be a need, which I doubt, n eat something. If u want, will send u food from home”.
Salman Khan’s work front
On the work front, Salman is set to return as host of ‘Bigg Boss 20’, a role he’s held for over a decade now. As for his film slate, he has ‘Maatrubhumi’ opposite Chitrangda Singh in the pipeline, though a release date is yet to be announced. He’ll also star alongside Nayanthara in Vamshi Paidipally’s next, currently titled ‘Monster’, which is scheduled for an Eid 2027 release.
