Over 2,300 join yoga day celebrations at Sadhguru Sannidhi Bengaluru, ‘Miracle of Mind’ app launched in Kannada KARNATAKA: More than 2,300 people from across Karnataka participated in a grand yoga programme at Sadhguru Sannidhi Bengaluru in Chikkaballapur district on Sunday to mark the International Day of Yoga, held in the presence of the iconic Adiyogi statue. The event brought together NCC cadets, Border Security Force (BSF) personnel, students, villagers, volunteers, and members of the public, making it one of the largest Yoga Day celebrations in the region. Organisers said the programme was aimed at spreading awareness about health, mental well-being, and inner transformation through yoga. According to organisers, around 1,700 NCC cadets, 200 BSF personnel, 100 villagers, 100 volunteers, and several hundred members of the public took part in the celebrations. This was the fourth consecutive year that International Day of Yoga was observed at Sadhguru Sannidhi Bengaluru. Senior BSF and NCC officials, including Additional Director General Tsewang Namgyal, Inspector General Dinesh Kumar Yadav, Deputy Inspector General Sanjay Yadav, Inspector General Shiv Adhar Shrivastava, Deputy Inspector General Amrendra Kumar Singh, and Air Commodore Kamal Chadha, Deputy Director General of the NCC Karnataka and Goa Directorate, attended the event. A major highlight of the programme was the launch of Sadhguru’s free guided meditation application, “Miracle of Mind,” in Kannada. Organisers said the app would help Kannada-speaking people access simple meditation practices to support mental well-being. Over 2,300 join yoga day celebrations at Sadhguru Sannidhi Bengaluru, ‘Miracle of Mind’ app launched in Kannada KARNATAKA: More than 2,300 people from across Karnataka participated in a grand yoga programme at Sadhguru Sannidhi Bengaluru in Chikkaballapur district on Sunday to mark the International Day of Yoga, held in the presence of the iconic Adiyogi statue. The event brought together NCC cadets, Border Security Force (BSF) personnel, students, villagers, volunteers, and members of the public, making it one of the largest Yoga Day celebrations in the region. Organisers said the programme was aimed at spreading awareness about health, mental well-being, and inner transformation through yoga. According to organisers, around 1,700 NCC cadets, 200 BSF personnel, 100 villagers, 100 volunteers, and several hundred members of the public took part in the celebrations. This was the fourth consecutive year that International Day of Yoga was observed at Sadhguru Sannidhi Bengaluru. Senior BSF and NCC officials, including Additional Director General Tsewang Namgyal, Inspector General Dinesh Kumar Yadav, Deputy Inspector General Sanjay Yadav, Inspector General Shiv Adhar Shrivastava, Deputy Inspector General Amrendra Kumar Singh, and Air Commodore Kamal Chadha, Deputy Director General of the NCC Karnataka and Goa Directorate, attended the event. A major highlight of the programme was the launch of Sadhguru’s free guided meditation application, “Miracle of Mind,” in Kannada. Organisers said the app would help Kannada-speaking people access simple meditation practices to support mental well-being. (Image source: PTI) Former BJP Tamil Nadu president K Annamalai on Sunday urged the state government to conduct a thorough investigation into the ammonia gas leak tragedy at a prawn farm near Periyapalayam in Tamil Nadu’s Tiruvallur district.Calling the tragedy shocking and heartbreaking, Annamalai said strict action should be taken if any safety violations are found during the probe.In a post on X, Annamalai wrote, “I strongly urge the Tamil Nadu government to conduct a thorough investigation and take stringent action if any violations are found,” he said.Dozens of workers affectedThe ammonia leak reportedly originated from the seafood processing unit and spread across the premises, affecting several workers.Many complained of breathing difficulties, while some suffered bleeding from the mouth and nose. The affected workers were rushed to nearby private hospitals for treatment, where seven of them died.Three-member panel formedTo investigate the cause of the gas leak, the state government has constituted a three-member committee comprising officials from the Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health, the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board and the Directorate of Public Health.The panel has been asked to submit an interim report within 24 hours and a final report within three days.Get the latest India news and live updates. NTA DG (Image source: ANI) The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Sunday said the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination was conducted smoothly across the country under extensive security arrangements, with no complaints related to question paper leaks reported so far.”So far, from what we have heard, everything went well. We have received good reports. A lot of state governments and government departments extended full support, and we were able to conduct the exam with full security as well as convenience for the students,” he told ANI.No complaints of paper leak so farResponding to questions about possible irregularities, Singh told ANI that NTA had not received any complaints or emails regarding a question paper leak.”Not so far. But NTA is working aggressively in order to ensure the integrity of the process. We are 100 per cent confident. We are 100 per cent confident about the whole process this time,” he said.He added that the agency had taken extensive measures to safeguard the examination process and expressed full confidence in the security framework put in place for the re-examination.Results to be declared soonOn the declaration of results, Singh said the evaluation process would begin shortly and that candidates could expect the results sooner than usual.”As soon as possible. Let us start the evaluation process, then we will give a date. See, we conducted the exam in 37 days. We compressed the entire exam cycle. So the results will also be announced faster than what one would expect,” Singh said.More than 20 lakh candidates took the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination on June 21 at 5,440 centres across India and 14 centres abroad.
