. LUDHIANA: Police have arrested a Ludhiana man for allegedly beating his eight-month pregnant wife to death in a drunken rage. The accused, Vijay Kumar (40), tried to pass it off as a natural death but injuries on his wife Pushpa’s body raised suspicion. After Pushpa’s brother filed a police complaint, Vijay was arrested.”Pushpa’s brother Ajay alleged that Vijay would beat Pushpa after getting drunk as she wanted him to quit alcohol.
