Kejriwal, family served notices under Delhi SIR NEW DELHI: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief and former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and four members of his family have been served notices by the Delhi Chief Electoral Officer’s office under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.Notices have been issued to Kejriwal, his wife Sunita Kejriwal, son Pulkit Kejriwal, and parents Gobind Ram Kejriwal and Gita Devi. Kejriwal is a registered voter in the New Delhi-40 assembly constituency.According to Delhi Election Commission documents, Arvind Kejriwal and five members of his family are among 110 voters from ‘Part-51, KG Marg’ in the New Delhi assembly constituency who have been issued notices.The party questioned the move saying, “Is everything happening in this country just to keep the Supreme Lord happy? @ECISVEEP, how is it possible that the names of three-time Delhi Chief Minister @ArvindKejriwal Ji and his family members are missing from the Delhi voter list?”The notices come amid the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 exercise being conducted by the Delhi Election Commission. Nearly 47.6 lakh names were removed from Delhi’s draft electoral roll published on August 31, but only a fraction of those affected have so far submitted Form 6 seeking re-inclusion.The window for filing claims and objections against the draft roll will remain open until September 30.The draft electoral roll contains 97.5 lakh electors, compared with 1.45 crore registered voters in Delhi when the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise began in June.Data showed that 62,583 Form 6 applications, including those from first-time voters seeking inclusion, had been submitted by September 15. The number rose to 68,043 by September 16.The 47.6 lakh electors excluded from Delhi’s draft electoral roll have been categorised as Absent, Shifted, Dead, Duplicate and Others following the house-to-house verification exercise.
