The Spider-Man star has checked into the iconic Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai, where he is reportedly staying in one of the property’s most luxurious accommodations, the Tata Suite.The lavish suite is among the hotel’s finest offerings and comes with an equally eye-catching price tag. Reports suggest the Tata Suite is typically priced between Rs 7 lakh and Rs 12 lakh per night, depending on availability and the season.The suite is designed more like a luxury apartment than a hotel room. It features two bedrooms, a spacious living area, a formal dining room, a meeting room that can accommodate up to 15 people, a private office, a lounge, a spa with a sauna, a private gym and a butler’s pantry. Guests can also connect it to an additional bedroom if required.Known for its period architecture, heritage furniture, artwork and cultural artefacts, the Tata Suite is one of the most exclusive stays at the historic Taj Mahal Palace Hotel.
Tom Holland arrives in Mumbai with Christopher Nolan and Matt Damon
Tom landed in Mumbai on Friday ahead of the Indian premiere of Christopher Nolan’s much-awaited film, The Odyssey. Videos shared on social media showed the actor leaving Mumbai’s Kalina Airport before heading to the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. This marks his second visit to India after his trip in 2023.Joining him were Academy Award-winning director Christopher Nolan, producer Emma Thomas and co-star Matt Damon.Mumbai has become an official stop on The Odyssey’s global promotional tour, alongside cities such as London, Paris and New York. It also marks the first time a Christopher Nolan film has had a dedicated premiere event in India.
Tom’s ‘namaste’ wins hearts
At the special screening of The Odyssey, Tom received a rousing welcome from fans. As he stepped onto the stage, the audience greeted him with loud cheers, applause and a standing ovation.The actor responded with a warm smile and a respectful ‘namaste’, drawing another round of applause from the crowd.Addressing the audience, Tom thanked Indian fans for their love and enthusiasm.“From the bottom of my heart, thank you for always welcoming us with such open arms, happiness, excitement, grace and love. No one brings an energy to a movie theatre as you do here in India,” he said.Earlier in the day, Tom also waved at fans gathered outside the hotel, acknowledging the excitement surrounding his visit.Written, directed and co-produced by Christopher Nolan, The Odyssey is based on Homer’s ancient Greek epic poem. The film follows Odysseus’ decade-long journey home after the fall of Troy.Matt Damon stars as Odysseus, while Tom Holland plays his son Telemachus. The cast also includes Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, Robert Pattinson and Lupita Nyong’o.The Odyssey is scheduled to release in theatres on July 17.
