Vedika Pinto, who first caught attention with her role in Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Nishaanchi’ and was recently seen in ‘Musafir Cafe’, lives in a home that beautifully reflects her mixed heritage. Born to a Hindu Punjabi mother and a Christian father, Vedika says her sprawling 4000 sq ft Mumbai residence draws from both sides of her family, with food often serving as the common thread that brings everyone together.

Designed around a soothing white-and-brown colour palette, Vedika’s home features white walls and doors, wooden furniture, and neutral-toned sofas, offset by colourful paintings and carefully curated artefacts that lend the space warmth and character.Speaking about one of her favourite pieces, Vedika said to Pinkvilla, “This art piece I bought in Beirut, Lebanon, in 2018. It is a bunch of restored newspapers which were hand-painted over.”The home is also filled with souvenirs collected during family vacations.“Every time we go on vacation, we often pick up something or the other,” she shared.
Vedika Pinto’s house is full of creatives
Describing her family’s creative streak, Vedika said, “We are a house of creatives. My mom is a producer. My dad made ad films. My brother also wants to be a director and musician.”In a separate conversation with Mashable India, she had revealed that her mother produced Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s popular reality show, ‘Band Baajaa Bride.’
The story behind the ‘Green Choli’ painting at Vedika Pinto’s house
One painting in particular carries an amusing family story. Depicting a woman standing against a wall, the artwork was originally painted in the nude by a friend of Vedika’s grandfather. “This is a painting by one of the friends of my grandfather. Originally, it was a nude painting. But after the painting was made, the friend’s wife didn’t like the nudity, so he added a choli, and now it is called Green Choli,” Vedika revealed.The painting has since become one of the most talked-about artworks in the home.

Vedika’s home also features a dedicated bar area, designed for entertaining friends and family. “My parents love to host their friends, and so do I, so we do it here,” she said. The space includes a dramatic couch, a centre table stocked with board games, a blue accent wall, and a dartboard cleverly hidden behind a shelf. A nearby wall showcases framed vintage advertising posters, along with a spotlight Vedika jokingly said her mother had “stolen” from one of her shows.

The true highlight of the home is its spacious balcony, designed in white and blue and overlooking lush greenery. The terrace’s distinct Goan charm is no accident, it’s a deliberate tribute to her father’s ancestry.“Fun fact, my grandfather was Portuguese, born in India. He had that Goan-Portuguese history. We tried to make this terrace Goan to retain my dad’s ancestral culture,” Vedika explained.

Rounding off the tour is Vedika’s dedicated TV room, which doubles as her vanity area and private space, complete with a sizeable book collection. “I am here when I want to be behind closed doors.
