Infosys faces €175,000 fine in France over time record system
BENGALURU: French labour authorities fined Infosys €175,000 (around Rs 2 crore) because its employee time-recording system did not comply with local labour laws.In a stock exchange filing, the IT services company said it received a communication from DRIEETS Ile-de-France, the regional French labour authority, imposing the penalty.The regulator found that Infosys’ time-tracking system did not fully meet French legal requirements, citing shortcomings in reliability, auditability and monitoring capabilities for certain employee categories.Infosys said the penalty would have no material impact on its financials, operations or other business activities.
