The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) has released the provisional answer key for the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2026. Candidates who appeared for the entrance examination can now download the answer key from the official admission portal, iiseradmission.in.The answer key has been published shortly after the conclusion of the examination and will help candidates estimate their probable scores before the declaration of results.The IISER Aptitude Test 2026 was conducted on June 7 in a single shift from 9 am to 12 noon.The examination is held for admission to various undergraduate programmes offered by IISER campuses, including:
- Bachelor of Science-Master of Science (BS-MS) Dual Degree programmes
- Bachelor of Science (BS) programmes
- Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programmes

Response sheets and objection window on June 9
The admission authority will release candidates’ response sheets on June 9. Along with the response sheets, the objection facility will also be activated.Candidates will be able to compare their recorded responses with the provisional answer key and raise objections if they find any discrepancy.The challenges submitted by candidates will be reviewed by the examination authorities before the final answer key is prepared.The provisional answer key allows candidates to:
- Estimate their likely scores
- Check the correctness of recorded answers
- Identify any possible errors in the answer key
- Submit objections within the prescribed period, if required
