Election Commission Kolkata Police on Saturday issued a fresh transfer and posting order involving four inspectors across three police stations in the city. In an official communication, KP commissioner informed Bengal chief electoral officer that Gautam Das, inspector with the special branch has been posted as officer in-charge (OC) of Kalighat police station (PS). Subrata Pandey, inspector from the south division has been transferred as OC of Alipore PS. In another reshuffle, Uttam K Paik, inspector with the Special Branch has been appointed as additional OC, Kalighat PS. Chameli Mukherjee, inspector serving as additional OC at Alipore PS, has been transferred to Ultadanga Women PS as OC. The EC also announced its decision to rope in 11 more police observers for phase II polls on April 29 when polling will be held for 142 seats.
