But one creator’s recent Instagram video has started a very different conversation. Instead of showing only the beautiful side of the monument, she shared the things that, according to her, took away from the experience.The video has now been viewed over a million times, with social media users offering very different opinions. While some appreciated her honesty, others felt the condition of such places is largely influenced by the huge number of tourists who visit them every day.
Creator points out what disappointed her
Instagram creator Meharma documented her visit to the Eiffel Tower and highlighted several things she noticed around the famous attraction.As she walked towards the monument, she showed dusty pathways and dry patches of grass. She also pointed to large trash bins placed nearby and said the area had an unpleasant smell.“Itni gandi smell aati hai iss jagah se (This place smelled so bad),” she said.
Pickpocket warning signs and lifts also caught her attention
The creator also filmed security boards that warned visitors about pickpockets. Looking at the signs, she remarked, “Kyunki Paris ek bohot safe city hai isliye unhone Eiffel Tower ke upar iss tarah ke boards laga diye hai ki aap logon ne jebkatro se apni hifazat khud karni hai (Because Paris is such a safe city, they have put up boards telling you to protect yourself from pickpockets).”She later showed spiderwebs on parts of the structure and inside the lifts. The video also included what she described as damaged lift glass. Sharing her experience of using the elevator, she said it had “webs, spiders, heat and people.”While Meharma appreciated the view of Paris from the first level of the Eiffel Tower, she said the upper section felt crowded and was not as enjoyable.
The video also captures another side of Paris
The creator also recorded scenes from different parts of Paris. The clip showed rubbish on the streets, homeless people, and a restaurant featured in Netflix’s Emily in Paris.While showing the surroundings, she said, “Ye chupa hua nahi hai, city centre hai ( It is not hidden, it is the city center).”She posted the video on Instagram with the caption, “Have seen this Eiffel Tower before?”

The video has crossed one million views and attracted a flood of comments.One user wrote, “Never seen this type of video of Eiffel tower, har koi upper ka chaka chond deka tha hai ..
