Copper spheres (Instagram) In a recent update, 29 large metal spheres were excavated in Bhanauli village of the Musafirkhana area, Amethi district in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, August 18. The discovery spread a sudden panic among villagers during foundation excavation. The objects, initially described as cannonball- or shell-like, were soon taken into custody by police. Amit Shah attacks Congress over decision to sing only first two stanzas of Vande Mataram NEW DELHI: Union home minister Amit Shah on Thursday criticised the Congress over its decision to sing only the first two stanzas of the national song Vande Mataram, calling the move “anti-national.”“Yesterday, the Congress Working Committee took an anti-national decision. Following its 1937 resolution, the Congress decided to sing only two stanzas of Vande Mataram. I want to remind the nation that in 1937, by dividing Vande Mataram for the appeasement of Muslims, the Congress laid the foundation for the partition of the country,” Shah told ANI in Mamallapuram, Tamil Nadu.He further stated that the Narendra Modi government, on the other hand, had corrected the Congress’ “mistake” and given Vande Mataram a legal framework.“Congress’s decision confirms its policy of appeasement. They have not only insulted this creation of Bankim Babu but also lakhs of people who laid down their lives for the freedom of the country. Today, the Congress party is implementing its 1937 resolution but rejecting a law made by Parliament. I am surprised that the Congress party, under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, is once again taking forward appeasement politics,” Shah added, referring to poet Bankim Chandra Chatterjee, who wrote Vande Mataram.“The country has once made the mistake of letting Vande Mataram be divided into two parts, and we have faced its consequences. Now, the country should come together against this decision of the Congress party and say that their politics of appeasement will not work anymore. Amit Shah attacks Congress over decision to sing only first two stanzas of Vande Mataram NEW DELHI: Union home minister Amit Shah on Thursday criticised the Congress over its decision to sing only the first two stanzas of the national song Vande Mataram, calling the move “anti-national.”“Yesterday, the Congress Working Committee took an anti-national decision. Following its 1937 resolution, the Congress decided to sing only two stanzas of Vande Mataram. I want to remind the nation that in 1937, by dividing Vande Mataram for the appeasement of Muslims, the Congress laid the foundation for the partition of the country,” Shah told ANI in Mamallapuram, Tamil Nadu.He further stated that the Narendra Modi government, on the other hand, had corrected the Congress’ “mistake” and given Vande Mataram a legal framework.“Congress’s decision confirms its policy of appeasement. They have not only insulted this creation of Bankim Babu but also lakhs of people who laid down their lives for the freedom of the country. Today, the Congress party is implementing its 1937 resolution but rejecting a law made by Parliament. I am surprised that the Congress party, under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, is once again taking forward appeasement politics,” Shah added, referring to poet Bankim Chandra Chatterjee, who wrote Vande Mataram.“The country has once made the mistake of letting Vande Mataram be divided into two parts, and we have faced its consequences. Now, the country should come together against this decision of the Congress party and say that their politics of appeasement will not work anymore. BJP condemns this decision of the Congress party,” the home minister remarked.In response, the Congress alleged that the BJP was trying to divert attention from a range of issues.””They want to divert attention from the genuine issues of paper leaks, theft of donations and Chinese incursion in Arunachal Pradesh. The chief ministers of the member states serve as vice-chairman on a rotational basis, according to the ministry of home affairs.The 31st meeting was organised by the inter-state council secretariat under the ministry of home affairs, with the Tamil Nadu government serving as host.Chief ministers, Lieutenant governors and administrators of the member states and union territories, along with two senior ministers from each state, are participating in the meeting. Indian national Rajiv Acharya dies in Israel NEW DELHI: The death of Indian national in Israel has triggered a police investigation, with the Indian Embassy in Tel Aviv confirming that a suspect has been arrested. The deceased was identified as Rajiv Acharya.The embassy said Israeli authorities are investigating to establish the “full facts and circumstances” of the incident, while it remains in contact with the authorities and is monitoring the case.“The Embassy of India is deeply saddened by the tragic death of Indian national, Mr Rajiv Acharya, in Israel,” the mission said in a post on X on Wednesday.The mission did not disclose the cause of Acharya’s death or provide further details about the incident.Expressing condolences to Acharya’s family, the embassy said, “The Embassy extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved family and stands ready to provide all possible assistance.”It added, “The Embassy will continue to closely monitor the case and remain in contact with the concerned authorities.”The development comes amid continuing tensions in West Asia. Indian national Rajiv Acharya dies in Israel NEW DELHI: The death of Indian national in Israel has triggered a police investigation, with the Indian Embassy in Tel Aviv confirming that a suspect has been arrested. The deceased was identified as Rajiv Acharya.The embassy said Israeli authorities are investigating to establish the “full facts and circumstances” of the incident, while it remains in contact with the authorities and is monitoring the case.“The Embassy of India is deeply saddened by the tragic death of Indian national, Mr Rajiv Acharya, in Israel,” the mission said in a post on X on Wednesday.The mission did not disclose the cause of Acharya’s death or provide further details about the incident.Expressing condolences to Acharya’s family, the embassy said, “The Embassy extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved family and stands ready to provide all possible assistance.”It added, “The Embassy will continue to closely monitor the case and remain in contact with the concerned authorities.”The development comes amid continuing tensions in West Asia. The embassy has not indicated whether the incident was connected to the broader regional situation.Earlier this month, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu said India and Israel would continue to strengthen their ties after a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.“Thank you, my friend, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi.
