Banks will remain closed in several parts of the country on Friday, June 26, on account of Muharram (Yaom-e-Shahadath), Last Day of Moharam and Ashoora. However, bank branches will continue to operate in some cities, according to the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) holiday calendar.Banks will remain open on June 26 in these citiesBank branches will function normally in:

The holiday is being observed for Muharram (Yaom-e-Shahadath), Last Day of Moharam and Ashoora, depending on local observance.Even where physical branches remain closed, customers will continue to have access to ATMs, internet banking, mobile banking and UPI services.The RBI’s bank holiday calendar varies across states and cities, with holidays notified under the Negotiable Instruments Act depending on local festivals and events. Customers are advised to check the holiday schedule applicable to their city before planning a visit to a bank branch.Banks across India also remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month, apart from national and regional holidays observed under RBI guidelines.
