Opposition parties have accused right-wing leaders of voting in multiple states, citing Rakesh Sinha and others as examples of alleged vote theft. AAP and RJD claim Sinha voted in both Delhi and Bihar elections. Sinha has denied the accusations, saying his voter registration was transferred to Bihar and threatening legal action for defamation. . NEW DELHI: Opposition parties on Wednesday accused right-wing leaders of voting in more than one state, calling it “proof of vote theft.” The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), and Congress claimed that Rajya Sabha MP and RSS ideologue Rakesh Sinha had voted in both the Delhi and Bihar elections. Sharing screenshots of Sinha’s posts, which showed him voting in the Delhi Assembly elections on 5 February 2025 and again in the Bihar Assembly elections on Thursday, AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj wrote on X: “Rakesh Sinha voted in the Delhi Assembly elections and again in the Bihar elections today. He teaches at Delhi University’s Motilal Nehru College, so how can he claim an address in Bihar? Do you think the BJP will reform if caught stealing? Not at all; they will continue to do it openly. Even today, fake monitoring continues at the AQI stations.”The opposition also alleged that BJP Delhi Purvanchal Morcha president Santosh Ojha and party worker Nagendra Kumar were among those who voted in both Delhi and Bihar. Rakesh Sinha dismissed the allegations, saying he had shifted his voter registration from Delhi to his village in Bihar, and warned that he would file a defamation suit against the accusations.Sinha wrote on X: “I never imagined politics could fall to such a low level. Those questioning the faith of people who respect the constitution should think a hundred times before speaking. Amit Shah on Thursday took swipe at Rahul Gandhi and Lalu Prasad Yadav, accusing them of supporting infiltrators and warning of a return to ‘jungle raj’ if the opposition wins. Shah asserted the BJP-NDA’s commitment to making Bihar ‘infiltrator-free’ and highlighted PM Modi’s decisive action against terrorism, contrasting it with past Congress governments. NEW DELHI: Union home minister Amit Shah on Thursday launched a sharp attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD chief Lalu Yadav, accusing them of “welcoming infiltrators” and of failing Bihar when in power.Addressing multiple election rallies in Bihar, Shah said the assembly polls are a fight to make the state “infiltrator-free,” and claimed that only the pairing of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chief minister Nitish Kumar can prevent a return of “jungle raj.”Mocking the former Bihar CM and leader of opposition in Lok Sabha, Shah claimed, “PM Modi worked to establish the Makhana Board… Can Lalu chacha create a Makhana Board? Can Rahul do it? If they come to power, a ‘Ghuspatiya Board’ will be formed…” ‘Lalu & Rahul say welcome infiltrators’Shah further alleged that Lalu and Rahul were trying to clear the path for infiltrators, questioning whether such individuals should remain on Bihar’s voter rolls. He accused both leaders of opposing efforts to remove infiltrators from the state’s lists. He asserted the BJP and NDA would not only cleanse Benipatti and Madhubani but would “root out” infiltrators across the country.”Should infiltrators be removed from Bihar’s voter list or not? Lalu and Rahul say, ‘welcome the infiltrators.’ To protect them, Lalu’s son (RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav) and Rahul go on yatras. Lalu and Rahul, listen carefully, the BJP and NDA government will not only remove infiltrators from Benipatti and Madhubani, but will root them out from across the entire country,” he alleged.’14th Nov Lalu & Rahul’s parties will be wiped out’Shah claimed, “Today, I’ve come to my thirty-third destination. I’ve toured all of Bihar. Do you want to know what the results will be on the 14th?”He continued that, “On 14th November, during the counting of votes, Lalu and Rahul’s parties will be wiped out…Once again, NDA government will be formed. But remember, if you mistakenly press any button other than the lotus (BJP symbol) or the arrow (JD-U symbol), then ‘Jungle Raj’ will return, just in a new disguise and new clothes….”‘PM to build a defence corridor in Mithila’He also attacked the previous Congress government over handling of terrorism, alleging lax action then, while praising recent operations under PM Modi. The Union minister said, “During the Congress regime, under the Sonia-Manmohan regime, Pakistani terrorists would come, detonate bombs and leave. No action would be taken against them. Instead, they were treated to biryani. Just recently, our men were killed in Pahalgam. PM Modi, in just 20 days, launched Operation Sindoor, in which we entered Pakistan’s home and wiped out the terrorists… Now, if terrorists fire bullets, they will be answered with shells…”Shah further announced plans for a defence-manufacturing corridor in Mithila, saying “PM Modi is going to build a defence corridor in Mithila.
