‘Appuchettan never plans his trips’: Vismaya Mohanlal recalls Himalayan trip with Pranav
Vismaya Mohanlal is gearing up for her Malayalam cinema debut with ‘Thudakkam’, directed by Jude Anthany Joseph.Ahead of the film’s release she opened up about her love for travelling and shared some memorable experiences with her brother Pranav Mohanlal, whom she affectionately calls Appuchettan. Speaking in a recent interview Vismaya revealed that while both siblings enjoy exploring new places, their travel styles are completely different.
Vismaya Mohanlal recalls unforgettable Himalayan journey
Among the many places she has visited over the years, Vismaya said one particular trip remains closest to her heart. She fondly remembered trekking through the Himalayas with Pranav and their cousins, describing it as an unforgettable experience.As quoted by Reporter website, Vismaya said, “The most beautiful travel memory I have is the Himalayan trip that I took with Apuchettan and our cousins. It felt like being in a different world. As soon as we started walking, a little puppy began following us. We trekked for more than seven hours. At one point, we lost our way, and we also ran out of drinking water. We finally felt relieved when we reached the next village. Until then, the puppy stayed with us throughout the journey. I have travelled to many countries, but the Himalayan trip remains the one that is closest to my heart and the one I remember the most.”The actress said the trek continues to be one of her fondest memories despite having travelled extensively to several countries.
Pranav Mohanlal and Vismaya Mohanlal have different travel styles
Vismaya also explained how differently she and Pranav approach travelling. According to her, Pranav enjoys spontaneous adventures and rarely plans anything before leaving home.She, on the other hand, prefers organising every aspect of a trip before setting off.Sharing the contrast between their personalities, she said, “Appuchettan never plans his trips. Only after he starts the journey does he decide how to reach the destination. Even after arriving, he begins looking for a place to stay only then. He says that’s where the fun lies. But I’m completely different. I plan everything before I leave. Appuchettan is a minimalist when it comes to travelling, whereas I prefer staying within my comfort zone.“
Vismaya Mohanlal’s interests beyond acting
Apart from making her acting debut, Vismaya has pursued several creative interests over the years. She has been passionate about writing poetry and has also explored martial arts and painting.
About ‘Thudakkam’
With ‘Thudakkam’, she is now stepping into the world of films. ‘Thudakkam’ is directed by Jude Anthany Joseph, who has co-written the screenplay with Akhil Krishna and Linish Nellikkal. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on August 7.
