Angelina Jolie is all squared away for the release of the poignant film, ‘Couture’. Centred around an American film director who gets diagnosed with cancer, the character faces struggles and sets a path of self-discovery. Channelling the bitterness and hardship into the role, the 51-year-old actor revealed that she drew energy from her personal painful experiences.

Angelina Jolie claims she tapped into the agonising window of her personal experiences, filled with bad news, to portray the character of Maxine Walker. “I have lived long enough to have a lot of bad news in my life and lose a lot of people I love,” she said during an interview with the Associated Press, before adding, “and be in the hospital with myself, my children, my mother, you know?” Furthermore, the actress shared that the painful and private moments in her life came through her work, helping her connect with viewers. “That’s a beautiful thing about film, sometimes. It helps you to take your private life experiences and pain, and feel like you’re sharing, you’re connecting with others,” she expressed, adding that it becomes less lonely. “You hope that there’s some woman sitting alone watching it, and it connects, and it changes how she feels,” the ‘Eternals’ actress voiced.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were the faces of ‘couple goals’ for nearly a decade, until the marriage fell apart. Talking about getting back into the dating scene, the actress got candid and shared that she has not tested her fate. “To be candid, I haven’t dated since I divorced a decade ago,” she said in an interview with Yahoo Entertainment, continuing, “So, I kind of get in my head that that aspect of me is not centred in my life if I’m focusing on my children, my family.” As for Brad Pitt, he has been linked to Ines de Ramon for a couple of years. ‘Couture’ will be released on June 26, 2026, on Apple TV.
