‘Alpha’ box office collection Day 3: Alia Bhatt-Sharvari starrer ends debut weekend on a high; crosses Rs 50 crore mark on Sunday
The spy action film ‘Alpha’, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in lead roles, continued its steady run at the box office on Sunday, thus ending its debut weekend on a high. As per box office reports, the film registered healthy growth in collections on Sunday, thus crossing the Rs 50 crore mark at the box office on its opening weekend.
‘Alpha’ box office collection Day 3
According to early estimates on sacnilk, ‘Alpha’ collected Rs 13.25 crore net in India on Day 3 across 7,439 shows. As per the report, this marked a 15.2 per cent increase in collections over Saturday’s net total of Rs 11.50 crore.With Sunday’s earnings, the film’s total India net collection now stands at an estimated Rs 34 crore, while its India gross collection has reached Rs 40.80 crore.
‘Alpha’ opening weekend collections
The film that marks the first female-led instalment in the YRF Spy Universe, began its theatrical run with an estimated net collection of Rs 9.25 crore on Friday, before witnessing strong weekend growth. As per the report, the film’s collections climbed to Rs 11.50 crore on Saturday and locked in its highest collections on Sunday, following positive word of mouth and good reviews.
‘Alpha’ scores highest earnings on Sunday
Sunday also emerged as the film’s biggest day at the domestic box office, with the India gross collection estimated at Rs 15.90 crore. According to Sacnilk, the film’s weekend growth suggests strong traction among urban audiences and multiplex centres, with metro cities raking in among the highest collections. The film will now look to maintain steady collections and build on its opening weekend performance.
‘Alpha’ overseas box office collections
Overseas, ‘Alpha’ maintained a solid performance, earning an estimated Rs 5 crore gross on its third day. This takes the film’s overseas total to Rs 18 crore gross, while its worldwide gross collection fell slightly short of the Rs 60 crore mark, as the film earned an estimated total haul of Rs 58.80 crore.Set within the expanding YRF Spy Universe, ‘Alpha’ stars Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, in leading roles opposite Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan.
