Actress Shivaleeka Oberoi hits back at trolls body shaming Katrina Kaif, fans rally behind the actress: ‘This is motherhood, this is what normal post partum recovery looks like’
Actress Shivaleeka Oberoi has spoken out in support of Katrina Kaif after the actress became the subject of body-shaming and harsh comments on social media following her recent public appearance.Taking to social media, Shivaleeka shared a post featuring Katrina and criticised the way people have been commenting on the actress’ post-pregnancy appearance. Questioning the mindset behind such remarks, she wrote, “Kya ho gaya hai means?!?! This is Motherhood!”She went on to highlight the realities of postpartum recovery, writing, “This is what normal postpartum recovery looks like – the good, the bad, the bloating, the exhaustion and everything in between.” Shivaleeka also urged people to stop presenting an unrealistic image of motherhood, adding, “Stop glorifying a version of motherhood that doesn’t exist.”Explaining what prompted her reaction, she wrote, “After seeing multiple of such posts in the last few days… can’t help but think how ridiculous the thought process is!”Shivaleeka’s comments come days after Katrina faced a wave of criticism over her appearance. The actress, who welcomed her first child, son Vihaan Kaushal, with husband Vicky Kaushal in November 2025, was recently seen in public for the first time in a while.Katrina and Vicky were spotted together in Mumbai on August 26 while attending the funeral of filmmaker Kuku Kohli, who passed away on August 25. Since embracing motherhood, Katrina has largely maintained a low profile and stayed away from the public spotlight.After this post which trolled the actress and questioned how she looks, several fans slammed the trolling and came to Katrina’s defence. Since then, she has kept her work commitments relatively limited, with motherhood and caring for her newborn taking priority.Katrina and Vicky tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony in Rajasthan in December 2021. The couple announced their pregnancy in September 2025 and welcomed their son Vihaan on November 7, 2025.
