NEW DELHI: AAP Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha on Monday sharply criticised the functioning of toll plazas, arguing that commuters face excessive taxation, poor road conditions and long queues despite paying multiple charges. Raising the issue in the Upper House, he said the situation amounted to “legalised loot” and urged the government to revisit tolling norms.Chadha said “toll is taking a big toll on people of India,” pointing to what he described as persistent congestion, mismanagement and profiteering at toll points.
