Aamir Khan sees off Raj Thackeray after wedding with Gauri Spratt; inside pictures capture newlyweds’ special day
Aamir Khan has embarked on a new chapter in his personal life after marrying longtime partner Gauri Spratt in an intimate ceremony held on July 5 at his Bandra residence. While the newlyweds are yet to greet the media together, moments from the private celebration have already begun making waves across social media. One of the most talked-about clips from the wedding shows the actor bidding farewell to politician Raj Thackeray, who attended the ceremony to bless the couple.A video doing the rounds online captures Aamir, dressed in a crisp white traditional ensemble, warmly embracing Raj Thackeray before personally escorting him out of the venue. After exchanging a hug with the politician, the ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ actor was seen walking him to his car before returning inside to continue the family celebrations.
Wedding pictures reflect blended family
Alongside the videos, photographs from the ceremony offer a glimpse into the intimate wedding. One heartwarming image shows Aamir smiling as he signs the marriage documents, officially beginning his journey with Gauri Spratt. Seated beside him, Gauri looked graceful in a beige traditional outfit complemented by an ornate necklace and statement earrings. The pictures also highlighted the coming together of their families. Gauri’s son from her previous marriage stood between the couple while holding a ring box, while Azad Rao Khan, Aamir’s son with former wife Kiran Rao, was seen carrying another ring box, making the ceremony even more meaningful.
A relationship that came full circle
Although Aamir and Gauri first met nearly 25 years ago, romance entered their lives much later. The two reconnected in 2024 through Aamir’s cousin, Nuzhat Khan, while Gauri was living in Bengaluru.Following their reunion, they spent almost a year managing a long-distance relationship before Aamir publicly acknowledged Gauri during his 60th birthday celebrations in March 2025, introducing her as his “partner.”As their relationship grew stronger, Gauri relocated to Mumbai along with her son. Around the same time, she stepped away from her position at a haircare company and joined Aamir Khan Productions, which recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. The couple had reportedly been sharing Aamir’s Mumbai home for more than a year before deciding to formalise their relationship. Last month, the ‘3 Idiots’ actor confirmed that wedding plans were underway, and the pair have now officially tied the knot in the presence of their loved ones.
