File photo NEW DELHI: A Nepali woman was arrested on Tuesday at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport for allegedly attempting to travel to Oman using a forged Indian passport.The woman approached the immigration counter last week to board a flight to Muscat. She identified herself as Kajal and presented an Indian passport that listed her place of birth as Nohra in Himachal Pradesh, an official from Sahar police station said.However, immigration officers grew suspicious as her facial features appeared distinctly Nepali. She was sent for further verification, during which she admitted that she was a Nepali citizen, the official added.During questioning, she revealed her real name as Kajal Lama and said she was originally from Parsa district in Nepal. She told police that her parents had migrated to Himachal Pradesh years ago, allowing her to obtain an Aadhaar card, PAN card and a bona fide certificate using a fake address in the state.
