Indian national Rajiv Acharya dies in Israel NEW DELHI: The death of Indian national in Israel has triggered a police investigation, with the Indian Embassy in Tel Aviv confirming that a suspect has been arrested. The deceased was identified as Rajiv Acharya.The embassy said Israeli authorities are investigating to establish the “full facts and circumstances” of the incident, while it remains in contact with the authorities and is monitoring the case.“The Embassy of India is deeply saddened by the tragic death of Indian national, Mr Rajiv Acharya, in Israel,” the mission said in a post on X on Wednesday.The mission did not disclose the cause of Acharya’s death or provide further details about the incident.Expressing condolences to Acharya’s family, the embassy said, “The Embassy extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved family and stands ready to provide all possible assistance.”It added, “The Embassy will continue to closely monitor the case and remain in contact with the concerned authorities.”The development comes amid continuing tensions in West Asia.
