NEW DELHI: The Election Commission has revised the schedule for the ongoing special intensive revision (SIR) exercise in Andhra Pradesh and Haryana, allowing the electors an extra 10 days to submit their enumeration forms. As per the extended schedule, the booth level officers can continue house-to-house visits till July 24 to collect the enumeration forms. The original deadline was Tuesday. The draft roll got Andhra Pradesh and Haryana will now be published on July 31 instead of July 21. Claims and objections may be filed between July 31 and August 30 (extended from July 21 to August 20). The notice period and settlement of claims and objections will run concurrently from July 31 to September 28, instead of July 21 to September 18.The final roll for the two states will now be out on October 3 instead of September 22 as originally planned.
