5 things you should never reveal to even your best friend
We’ve all done it.
You argue with your partner, pick up your phone and immediately call your best friend.
An hour later, you’ve narrated every single detail.
The next day, you’ve made up.
Your friend hasn’t.
That’s because they only heard one version of the story – your version, when you were angry.
Months later, you may have forgotten the argument completely, but your friend still remembers how upset you were.
Of course, there are times when you absolutely should speak up. If you’re dealing with manipulation, abuse or something that’s affecting your wellbeing, don’t keep it to yourself.
But if it’s about who forgot to call or whose turn it was to do the dishes, maybe give yourself a little time before involving someone else.
Not every disagreement needs an audience.
