CJP hits back at Kangana Ranaut NEW DELHI: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has dismissed BJP MP Kangana Ranaut’s attack on young protesters, saying even her own party colleagues do not take her seriously so why should they.”Even members of her own party don’t pay much heed to Kangana Ranaut or take her seriously, so why should we?” CJP chief spokesperson Saurav Das said. “I don’t think anyone in Gen Z, Gen Alpha, or any younger generation takes her seriously or listens to what she says.” Watch Kangana Ranaut Slams Gen Z-led CJP Protests, Calls Viral Protest Reels “Puke Inducing” OnlineDas pointed to Ranaut’s own remarks from her Himachal Pradesh constituency, where she had said she expected the job to require very little work, only to realise being an MP involves massive labour. “That speaks volumes about her own seriousness,” he added. The BJP MP had launched a scathing attack on the young demonstrators who protested against the NEET paper leak, questioning their conduct while defending Prime Minister Narendra Modi against what she called “filthy abuse.”Ranaut specifically targeted the language used against PM Modi during the protests. “Our 75-year-old Prime Minister was targeted, and filthy abuse was hurled at his late mother,” she said. She questioned whether such conduct befits students, adding, “We, too, have participated in student protests. But what kind of students are these, and what kind of obscene language are they using?”The actor-politician drew a contrast between the protesters and her own journey, pointing out that she has been self-reliant since age 16. “If these individuals need Supreme Court lawyers or legal counsel in the future, will their parents be able to afford it?” she asked. “They do not have the means to afford it themselves. We have been building our own careers since the age of sixteen. We have never been a burden on our parents.”Earlier on her Instagram stories, Ranaut had earlier called the protest reels “puke inducing” and used the term “Generation Gutter”. She dubbed Gen Z women as “so-called westernised Indian women” who are “not good at studies” and “so ugly and corrupt that they cannot be homemakers either.””If you try to live independently without accountability, you are just a distorted entity. Gutter chap,” she added. The Mandi MP’s remarks came as the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) wound up its 36-day agitation after the government conceded to its demands. Dharmendra Pradhan resigned as Union education minister and Pralhad Joshi was given additional charge of the ministry, paving the way for the protest’s withdrawal.Get the latest India News and Live updates. Right-wing political commentator TG Mohandas (File photo) NEW DELHI: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Tuesday distanced itself from right-wing political commentator TG Mohandas over his remarks on the recent student protests in Delhi, clarifying that he does not hold any position in the organisation.Senior RSS functionary KB Sreekumar said Mohandas was not an office-bearer of the RSS at any level and described his remarks as “personal thoughts”, adding that the comments deserved to be condemned.”TG Mohandas’s comments on the recent protest are his personal thoughts. He is not an RSS official at any level. RSS doesn’t agree with his views and they should be condemned in every highest possible manner,” Sreekumar told PTI.The clarification came a day after Mohandas’s remarks triggered widespread protests in Kerala and sparked outrage on social media, prompting the CPI-backed All India Students’ Federation (AISF) to file a police complaint against him.In its complaint to the Kerala DGP, the AISF alleged that Mohandas had called for student protesters to be “shot dead”, amounting to an appeal for violence and mass killing.According to the complaint, publicly advocating the use of state force to open fire on protesting students, with the possibility of deaths and grievous injuries, was an extremely dangerous statement that promoted violence, undermined the value of human life and had the potential to create fear and social unrest. The student outfit sought registration of a criminal case against Mohandas under all applicable legal provisions and urged an investigation into the YouTube channel that carried the remarks, the source of the video, related digital records and its circulation across social media platforms. The controversy stems from the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)-led student protests at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar over the NEET (UG) paper leak and broader education reforms. The satirical online platform launched its indefinite agitation on June 21 and called it off on July 25 after then-Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigned and the Centre accepted all three of its demands, one of which was Pradhan’s resignation or ouster. The RSS, which has now distanced itself from Mohandas’s remarks, is the ideological mentor of the BJP, the party leading the government at the Centre.Get the latest India News and Live updates.
