Statewide, Bihar witnessed a record participation of 66.91 per cent, reflecting a strong engagement across constituencies. Hayaghat, which falls under the Darbhanga district, has been a closely watched seat due to its history of alternating party control. The constituency is currently represented by BJP’s Ram Chandra Prasad, who won the 2020 election by a margin of 10,252 votes.
