NEW DELHI: As the 2025 Bihar mandate crystallised on Friday, the National Democratic Alliance emerged with a patchwork of clear victories, tight contests and unexpected setbacks across the state. With counting underway since 8 am, beginning with postal ballots and followed by EVM rounds across 46 heavily secured centres, the alliance found itself navigating a politically diverse terrain shaped by regional loyalties and caste-driven equations.While the NDA tightened its grip in several stronghold districts in western and northern Bihar, it also faced tough resistance in pockets where the Mahagathbandhan and newer players fractured traditional vote banks.
