Bharatpur MLA Humayun Kabir’s son held on PSO assault complaint BEHRAMPORE: Police on Sunday surrounded Bharatpur MLA Humayun Kabir’s Shantipur residence in Murshidabad’s Manikyahar and took his son Golam Nabi Azad alias Rabin in for questioning after constable Jumma Khan, one of Kabir’s three personal security officers, alleged that Rabin had assaulted him when he sought leave. Rabin was released following hours of questioning.Kabir, who was not present at the residence at the time, denied his PSO’s allegation and said he had made several complaints about Khan to Berhampore Police about his alleged unruly behaviour and requested his replacement. Kabir further alleged that the cops had levelled false allegations against his son. Kabir alleged that cops were questioning his son at the behest of TMC.
