12 NEW DELHI: In a message suffused with ‘vikas’ and ‘virasat’, PM Modi told members of Indian diaspora in Oman that India is scaling new heights of development under his govt as he emphasised the strength of the country’s diversity that has made them a living example of coexistence and cooperation in their adopted homes.”Our diya of Diwali will not only illuminate our home but the whole world. He defined ‘maitri’ as maritime heritage, aspirations, innovation, trust and technology, respect and inclusive growth.India and Oman are not joined merely by geography but generations, he said dwelling on their early maritime ties and told the Indian community that they are biggest custodian of the centuries-old relation.He said the ties started by trade are being strengthened by education, noting that over 46,000 students are studying in Indian schools in Oman. The entire region is special for India, more so Oman, he emphasised.Asking students to visit Isro campus in Bengaluru, he said time is not far when India will have its own station in space.
