This marks PM Modi’s first visit to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.The visit follows the conclusion of the first leg of his tour in Jordan, where he was personally bid farewell by Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II. In 2023, during India’s G20 Presidency, the African Union was admitted as a permanent member of the G20.”The Prime Minister is also expected to address a joint session of the Ethiopian Parliament and meet the Indian diaspora residing in the country. He noted, “In Addis Ababa, I will hold detailed discussions with H E Dr Abiy Ahmed Ali and also have the opportunity to meet the Indian diaspora living there.
