NEW DELHI: National Disaster Response Force Thursday said there is no adverse impact of Nepal’s glacial lake outburst floods on Indian side even as Centre and states are monitoring the situation in bordering districts of UP and Bihar to mitigate any risk from excessive river waters flowing into India.NDRF has deployed 20 teams — 11 in UP and nine in Bihar — for evacuation, relief and rescue operations in case these areas experience floods and waterlogging. E20 contributes to reducing pollution, creating rural prosperity and saving foreign exchange,” BPCL said.“BPCL continues to support the national ethanol blending programme and remains committed to ensuring fuel quality,” the oil marketing company said.The petroleum ministry appeared surprised over BPCL CMD Sanjay Khanna’s remarks made at a news conference after the company’s AGM. A senior ministry official said that “there have absolutely been no discussions in govt on the matter”. “Govt has said before that there are no plans to introduce E10 fuel. The ‘jhooth ki goonj’ website is exposing every lie of his. The louder propaganda echoes, the faster truth will emerge,” BJP spokesperson Anil Banluni said. Party neta Sudhanshu Trivedi said Rahul is full of frustration and envy vis-a-vis PM Modi, but every lie of his is being exposed.The website, whose creator’s identity is not clear, has said that Rahul has so far made 40 claims, mostly directed against govt, and all of them are either false or misleading.BJP members shared its link on their handles to promote the website amid Rahul’s efforts to connect with the youth to sharpen his pitch against govt. PM Modi’s bilateral with Russia President Putin will follow EAM Jaishankar’s visit to Moscow this week NEW DELHI: PM Narendra Modi will have a bilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the margins of the upcoming SCO summit in Bishkek, said govt while announcing Modi’s two-nation central Asia tour to Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan that begins Saturday. The summit meeting of the Eurasian bloc will take place on Aug 31-Sept 1.In Bishkek, Modi will also come face to face with Chinese President Xi Jinping before he hosts him for the Brics summit here on Sept 12-13. Modi’s other bilateral engagements are still being finalised.Modi’s bilateral with Putin, the first since the Russian President visited India in Dec 2025 for the annual summit, will follow external affairs minister S Jaishankar’s visit to Moscow this week for a meeting of the 27th India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technological and Cultural Cooperation during which he also called on Putin.While discussing trade and investment, energy and nuclear cooperation, Putin assured Jaishankar of continued supply of fertilisers, saying Russia is doing everything to help Indian farmers. Govt data showed India exported 2.4 million tonnes (MT) of diesel in July this year. NEW DELHI: India’s export of petroleum products recorded a year-on-year surge of over 8% in July, as margins improved amid a global supply shortage following Russia’s ban on diesel exports and ample supplies of crude to India during the US-Iran ceasefire.Govt data showed India exported 2.4 million tonnes (MT) of diesel in July this year, up from 2.2 MT in the corresponding month last year, while total petroleum product exports rose from 5 MT to 5.5 MT.
