Throat slit, dying woman writes ‘husband is my killer’ in chilling death note
PANCHKULA: ‘My husband is my killer’ — her throat slit, a woman wrote this chilling message with her dying breaths in her boutique in Pinjore near Chandigarh on Wednesday.Police found the bloodstained page where victim Rajinder Kaur, 42, named her husband as her murderer and blamed her mother-in-law, two sisters-in-law and brother-in-law for her death. Her final words were scribbled in Hindi next to measurements of clients.Police named him as Sham but did not disclose other detailsRajinder Kaur lived in a rented accommodation in Rathpur Colony and was said to have a dispute with her husband.She was found in a pool of blood outside her boutique in Abdulapur Colony on Wednesday morning. A passerby alerted police who took her to Kalka hospital but she died during treatment.Police found CCTV footage that showed a man, suspected to be her husband , entering the shop, and pulling down the shutter. He emerged after a while, took a step back and tightly closed the shutter, apparently to ensure it cannot be opened easily.Around two-three minutes after he walked off, Rajinder Kaur was seen lifting the shutter, and staggering out, blood pouring from her throat. Some passersby got scared and did not immediately raise an alarm. She went back inside and emerged after a few seconds, clutching her throat and gesturing for help. This time, some locals got together and took her to hospital.Panchkula police traced down her husband in around two hours and arrested him. The weapon used in the crime has been seized, said an officer. He is being interrogated to ascertain the motive for the murder. Police have not given out his identity or other details of his arrest. The postmortem is scheduled for Thursday.
