HPBOSE registration 2026: The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has changed its registration procedure for students studying in government and private schools affiliated with the Board. Under the revised system, students will be registered with the Board in Classes 9 and 11 instead of Classes 10 and 12.The change has been introduced to avoid technical and administrative difficulties during subsequent board examinations. Registration completed in Class 9 will remain valid until the student passes the Class 10 Matriculation examination, while Class 11 registration will remain valid until the student passes the Class 12 Senior Secondary examination.Revised registration process for Classes 9 and 11HPBOSE Chairman Dr. Rajesh Sharma announced the amendment to Rule 18.1 of Chapter 18 of the Examination Regulations, 1994. The revised provision applies to students enrolled in schools and institutions affiliated with the Board.Students who migrate from another board or university and secure direct admission to Class 10 or Class 12 will have to register with HPBOSE as new candidates under the revised provisions.Registration fee and deadlinesThe registration fee has been fixed at Rs 200 per student. Schools have been asked to complete the process by October 15 without a late fee. Applications submitted after the deadline can be made until November 15 with a late fee of Rs 500.
